Black Sruce Bog
My favorite tree – the black spruce. I love the way they become narrow at the top as they point to the sky. They are located from northern Wisconsin and the extreme northern/northeastern portion of the U.S. and extend into upper Canada.
This shot was take at one of the gazillions of spring fed bogs not far from the Montreal River, just a couple of miles north of Mercer, WI.
We’ve always wanted to learn the names of the different type of trees up here, I think I’ll make a guide page. The same with many flowers and the myriad of mushroom species…
