The great Turtle Flambeau Flowage is a very large and hazardous water system. It wasn’t long ago all of these stumps were not visible, as they were just underneath the surface of the water – however, due to dam maintenance far upstream, they have dropped the level 2 feet and this is what has been exposed in this particular spot.
